Unnamed Resolution of Greetings and Thanks to all Living Charter Members of the ASM

WHEREAS, the present members of the American Society of Mammalogists are now profiting from the foresight of a few people who organized our Society fifty years ago; and

WHEREAS, the sound basis on which the enterprise was established and the careful direction of its growth has yielded a high measure of success;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the American Society of Mammalogists at its New York meeting in June 1969, celebrating a half century of progressive growth, sends greetings and thanks to all living Charter Members, and especially to Viola Schantz, Walter P. Taylor and H. H. T. Jackson for their early and continued effort to serve the best interests of the American Society of Mammalogists, and special thanks to Dr. Jackson for his prime efforts in the initial organization of the Society.
