Host Resolution - 48th Annual Meeting, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado

WHEREAS, the forty-eighth annual meeting of the American Society of Mammalogists, convened June 16 to 21, 1968, at Colorado State University at Fort Collins, has been characterized by pleasant associations and profitable sessions; and

WHEREAS, the attractive facilities, situated at the foot of tie Front Range and within the shadows of the magnificent Rockies, and at the edge of the rolling high plains, have enhanced the pleasant entertainment enjoyed by the participants; and

WHEREAS, a most understanding and helpful local committee, a cooperative weatherman, and a magnanimous land-grant university, in a truly colorful Colorado, the land of the bighorn, blue spruce, and columbine, have all combined in a perfect harmony to the enjoyment of the "mammae"; and

WHEREAS, the services provided by the Colorado State University Student Center and Corbett Hall, especially James McIver and Lucille Greer of the Conference Services Department, and their many helpers, including Evelyn Scott and Irv Ferguson, with a program of special activities for our ladies and our younger mammalogists has been so evident; and

WHEREAS, the administration of Colorado State University, including President William E. Morgan, has been most helpful; and

WHEREAS, a diligent and hard-working local committee, under the chairmanship of a most devoted Dr. Richard Hansen, has, through unstinted attention to all details and to our social welfare, provided a happy blend of culture and hospitality;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the American Society of Mammalogists extends to all these named and many unnamed individuals its heartfelt thanks and most sincere appreciation for the conviviality, courtesies, and cooperation which have made this a memorable meeting, long to be remembered by the delegates, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this herewith be recorded in the annals of this society.
