ASM joins with SCBNA and the AOC in a letter on ESA regulatory changes.

On Monday September 24, the American Society of Mammalogists, The Society for Conservation Biology North America, and the American Ornithological Society (AOS) sent a letter to Secretary Zinke and Secretary Ross urging withdrawal of three rules guiding the implementation of the Endangered Species Act. These rules would substantially weaken protections for endangered and threatened species and are likely to lead to an accelerated rate of extinctions in the United States. The joint letter can be read here.
