Bryant's Woodrat Distribution

This species is distributed from Alameda county, California south to the southern tip of Baja California and includes the previously recognized insular “species” N. anthonyi, N. martinensis, and N. bunkeri, and all other insular named taxa. Geographic distribution of Neotoma bryanti and its five subspecies extends along the west coast of California and throughout mainland Baja California and associated islands.

Big-eared Woodrat Distribution

Santa Lucia Range, WC California, and Sierra Nevada, EC California, southwards to N Baja California Norte, México; isolated population in SE California. They are found as far north as Salinas Valley in California and as far south as Baja California, Mexico. They are also in most parts of southern California between these two points, as well as in the southern portions of the Sierra Nevada and Coastal Ranges. (Haynie, et al., 2007; Matocq and Murphy, 2007)
