Assistant Professor of Biology - Mammalogy

The Department of Biology at Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX seeks applicants for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Biology with a specialization in the field of Mammalogy. Teaching, research, and service are the primary responsibilities. Candidates are required to possess the teaching skills and experience in some aspect of Mammalogy to engage in research with undergraduate and master’s level graduate students. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and labs in their specialty and other departmental service courses as assigned (e.g. Introductory Biology, Zoology, Evolution, Genetics, Cell Biology). The applicant also will be expected to participate in departmental, college, and university level service and events, advise students, and be responsible for curation and growth of the mammal collection in the Angelo State Natural History Collection.
